When you are depressed and stressed out, there is no better place to be than the dog park. Your dog is the one being who will love you no matter how much you hurt them or ignore them.

I don’t understand the whole “I’m a survivor, not a victim” thing. Are they both mutually exclusive? If you are a victim of a home invasion and you live, does that not make you a survivor as well? Maybe I’m overthinking it.
The justice system does not exist. There isn’t justice anymore. In this society, abusers get away with no consequences. Victims have to deal with reporting, shame and depression, often for the rest of their lives. This is not just.
